This is a rare chance to hear the epic music of Wagner’s Ring Cycle in an unusually intimate and intense setting. Kenneth Woods conducts the acclaimed chamber orchestra reduction by Francis Griffin of Act I of Die Walküre, described as “the most perfect sequence of music Wagner ever wrote.” He’s joined by tenor Brennen Guillory, recently hailed as “a true Wagnerian voice,” and Stacey Rishoi, hailed as “heartfelt, agile and powerful” who together bring to life this complex story of life and death, love and destiny.
