The English Symphony Orchestra offer up an evening showing some of the lighter side of Elgar’s music, with a selection of his music inspired by travel and place. From the London Town of the Cockaigne overture to the Bavarian Highlands and the Italy of In the South, via Spain and India, this concert is truly Elgar for Everyone, an engaging and accessible entry into the music of Britain’s greatest composer.
