Part of Schumann 2018, a year-long celebration of Schumann’s orchestral music

Our 2018-9 series of concerts in historic Hereford Shirehall opens with a concert celebrating two of the greatest single movement symphonies ever written, Schumann’s Fourth and Sibelius’s Seventh. We’re pleased to welcome the charismatic young Russian grand-prize winner of the 2018 Hastings International Piano Competition, Roman Kosyakov, who joins the orchestra for one of the ultimate tests of piano virtuosity, Liszt’s thunderous Totentanz.

The ESO’s Shirehall concerts have become Hereford’s “can’t miss’ cultural events, so book early to avoid disappointment.
