ESO Youth are very pleased to announce we are staging a one-day workshop for advanced brass players (Grade 7 and above) on Monday 3rd May (Bank Holiday) at Wyastone Hall, Wyastone Leys, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, NP25 3SR.

Wyastone is just off the A40 on the English/Welsh border between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth. It is the home of Nimbus Records and is the location ESO has been using to film its series of performances for ESO Digital. The hall is a large space with excellent modern ventilation to allow us to run in a COVID secure environment.

The workshop will encompass large ensemble playing and a look at some standard orchestral brass repertoire (music to be sent out in advance). The tutors will include three of ESO’s brass principals: James Topp (horn), Stuart Essenhigh (trumpet) and Julian Turner (trombone).

The day runs from 9.30am to 5.00pm cost will be £40.00 per child.

COVID protocols including social distancing and protective screens will be tailored specifically to this event. We will require a health declaration form to be filled in at registration. We would also take temperature readings with a non-contact thermometer (not mandatory).
