ESO Beginners and Intermediate Orchestra Courses

The 2011 and early 2012 courses were hugely successful. Please register an interest for future courses either by contacting Peter Sheeran at peter.sheeran@btinternet.com or the ESO head office at info@eso.co.uk.

STORYTIME

ESO performed Storytime, a programme designed for pre-schools devised by Margaret Archibald of the Londopn Mozart Players, to a delighted audience of about 100 under-5s on August 17th. At the concert the name of the Conductor Bear was revealed - Guiseppe Berdi (chosen from a hat!) - but this had mutated to Sir Ted by the end of the hour's concert....

Last series - July 13th 2011 in Ledbury and Leominster featuring the ESO Winds (Catherine Handley, Graeme Adams, Alison Lambert and Keith Rubach). Here is some feedback from one of the venues:

"It was absolutely fantastic! So many people came up to me and said 'can we have them again next year' and 'do they have a DVD out?'.

The band of musicians were wonderful and I think they really enjoyed it too - they mentioned that it was great to have such an interactive audience! Bob Anderson, our photographer, said he will let me have the photos asap and I will forward them on to you when I get them.

Please add me to your newsletter mailing list so that I can promote in our own literature. I really hope we have the opportunity to do something else together in the very near future. Please pass on my sincere thanks to the musicians involved."

We had in fact already decided to make a DVD of the concert programme and are investigating the costs with a local film-maker. Both for this and for more series we are raising funds NOW. If you would like to contribute please call 01386 791021. There is no worthier cause.
