Orchestra Courses 2008-09

The mission of the ESO is to "engage and lift the spirit". How better to start than by joining the ESO Beginners and Intermediate Orchestras and put the fun into learning a musical instrument.

Educationalists have continually espoused the importance of learning a musical instrument in a person's development. These stimulating courses are informal but packed with fun and aim to develop musicianship, confidence and sociability.

Practising at home is vital, but music is a social art-form and there is no greater experience for a musician of any standard, than playing with others. ESO courses offer the novice musician an opportunity to enjoy a fun weekend with like-minded students and to learn skills that cannot be learnt by practicing alone. These courses help develop orchestral technique and a wide range of musical skills.
